The 23rd Sustainable Business Forum looks at the ‘How to’ of sustainability in the SME sector

In this Forum we will be exploring the experiences of people undertaking change for sustainability within the SME sector. These are the voices of sustainability champions who are making a difference in a quiet way. These experiences are varied and yet they do have things in common both between themselves and with those larger organisations whose sustainability initiatives are more frequently publicised.

Our stories of change come from a variety of sources. We have the story of a printer that has had a long-time green strategy, but rarely waves the flag; another of an ethical crisis that captures critical issues for all organisations engaging with globalisation, and two further stories that reflect different approaches to tapping and sharing existing, yet hidden, knowledge on socially and environmentally responsible behaviour.

Finally, we have the SBF members, who also have a wealth of experience and stories to share around change for sustainability. This Forum is a chance to bring that experience to the fore and to help resolve the sustainability dilemma for SMEs, as well as to explore different ways to engage employees and stakeholders of all organisations in change for sustainability.
